[5] Object Hunt
1hr

The players are split into two teams and each has a base (home). A number of objects are strewn around a predefined playing area.

The players must search the playing area and at the end of the day (10-15 mins) return to their home (base) with as much as they have found/can carry. The number of objects returned to each home is counted, and whilst the players rest indoors ‘overnight’ the objects are redistributed around the playing area ready for the next day.

Variation
Set some objects to be ‘day objects’ and some ‘night objects’. Day objects can only be returned in the day, night objects at night. Define a time period to represent day/night and ‘a return to base’ whistle for dawn/twilight. Objects of the wrong type returned for the time of day are ‘negative counts’.

Variation
Use different types of object, and give each type a value (weight) say between 1 and 10. Players can only return providing they are carrying a predetermined value (weight) of goods, say between 15 and 20.

Needful Things
Lots of objects to find
Whistle and timer
