Welcome to the Oaks Online

Whether you are one of our many regular visitors to either the Oaks campsite or our website, or perhaps this is your first visit, then which ever case you are most welcome.
The Oaks provide a great mix of all that is traditional and best in Scouting, with a very healthy dose of progressive evolution. If you don't believe me, have a look through the activities we offer; the events that we host; the facilities on site. Pretty convincing eh ? - and if all of this still leaves you in doubt, why not arrange for a site visit through Lesley or Simon. One of the wardens or site staff will then provided a guided tour and will be able to answer any site questions you have.
If you have any special needs, or have some ideas of specific badges work you might like to do onsite, please feel free to talk with us and we'll do everything we can to support you. Indeed one of the main points that we learned from the wealth of questionnaires that previous campers have provided, is that the staff are brill. It is now a kind of pride, reputation thing - the staff at the Oaks enjoy their work ('cos lets face it as all staff are volunteers, if they didn't enjoy it, then they wouldn't turn up), and although they are onsite most weekends, the staff are fully aware that each camp is uniquely special to all the leaders and young people who attend and will therefore 'do their best' to ensure you have a great camp.
Explore the website, if you have time, read the testimonials from leaders, and some of the thanks from the youngsters, peruse the information on the activities, the buildings and the facilities - if you're stuck will the occasional free time at weekends, you can even have a read up on the job ads :-).
Most of all, please keep in touch.
