Please note: This is a warranted role

To establish an effective Explorer Scout unit at the Oaks, which offers flexible Scouting to young people aged between 14 and 18 years of age, with the emphasis on Conservation and Campsite skills.

An aim of the unit is to encourage young people to become involved with the site.

Work with the District Explorer Scout Leaders, of both Districts, the site Warden and Management Committee to establish and develop an Explorer Scout Unit at the Oaks Campsite

Organise an interesting and challenging program based around the running of the campsite, with an emphasis on conservation and maintenance skills

Hold unit meetings at an agreed frequency (fortnightly)

Attend the monthly Oaks Management meeting

Attend District meetings where appropriate for Explorer Scout leaders
